Achievement : pilgrim

hah i finished the achievement so I'm now a pilgrim.  not that i particularly care but i do like to complete the world event quests all other stuff i skip.  PVP, PVE raiding etc.  well pvp i need to learn how to Kill em all!!  otherwise i'm just free HK

Lets see as pilgrim you get the title, and a turkey pet.
oh ya the trick to getting all 40 within the 30 secs is buying a tracker snack so you see where the next turkey is before you have to get it and timing your turkey kills so you have a few secs to look around  I wait until 10 seccs before i kill it so I look around for 15 secs from the first turkey and add that to the 20 secs the debuff after 2nd kill so its total of 35 secs of just looking for stuff.

Special Event: Pilgrim's Bounty

Benefits:  nearly free levling of cooking from 1-375.  Time 20 mins or less.
Loots:  turkey pet, title of pilgrim, 6 pieces of pilgrim clothing and a chance to get a raven god mount.

Complete all your quests and you get a turkey pet and the pilgrim title.  All this gear is really a bonus for RPers - role players.  Previously clothing was something to be horded and saved for special ocassions.  Mostly it was from gear that just happened to look nice.

I think this is blizzard's way to evening out the professions as most people cannot be bothered to go out of thier way to kill mobs for their cooking ingredients.  I never cooked and always bought my buff foods from the AH or did without.  If it wasn't for this free and fast leveling shortcut by blizzard I would never level cooking.   Cooking is as hard to level as fishing except fishing is super boring.

Grab a friendly druid who did the epic fligth form quest and have a shot at your raven god mount.

STARTING CITY:  all major cities horde and alliance side

woot raid!

Yay I got to raid for 15-30 mins!    I logged in was chatting with people and one of my friends a raidleader or assistant raid lead whispered and said want to come as dps?  I asked how long will this take? hehe he said 30 mins or so so i said ok.   Week days I to avoid raids as I'd like to go to sleep at a decent hour if I have to wake up early.

I like TOC you can't possibly get lost in there.  Ya know come to think of it TOC is the only place I haven't gotten lost in

Oh really Avatar = me? and me = avatar? lol it takes a Ph.D to say it does

Neuroscientists discover MMORPG players identify avatars with themselves

Duh .. any WOWer casual or hardcore could have told you that.   Does it really take a Ph.D in neuroscience to know all this?  Shoot this is common knowledge. When I say I in WOW i mean I the toon name but when I talk with people  i know in RL of course the I means the real me behind the computer. BUT interesting to know that nongamers need hard facts to prove what every gamer already knows.

Special event: All hallow's eve

All hallow's eve is over and I've yet to get a mount.  I ran SM Graveyard every day too!
Once a day no matter how busy i was I'd log on to WOW get a group going.  Now mind you I took some precautions and made sure people had the summons as there were some people who made things difficult.

Problems:
  • They would get a group going get everyone else to summon and then when it came to thier turn they'd hearth out
  •  Masterloot the instance and not tell people about it or do it last min.
  • Boot the person who just used thier summon without giving them a chance to loot
  • Leave group after everyone's summoned and get a new group

Solution:
  •  Be Leader - form the group because at the very least you cannot be removed by the group
  • Ask if that person has summoned the boss today yet:  I'd whisper everyone in my /who list with a, "Hi might I ask have you summoned the Headless Horseman today yet?" If the answer was yes then i'd not reply or reply with thx.  If answer was no I'd ask if they would like to join me.
  •  Ask people of big guilds
  • Ask friendlist first and of course your RL friends.
People who are in high end raiding guilds are less likely to do these kinds of things because they have a reputation to keep and they'd be Gkicked should thier guild hear about it in trade or complaints.  They are tarnishing thier guild's reputation for behaving badly outside of raid. I personally know of one hardcore raider a warlock that got gkicked because he was mouthing off in gchat and the officers felt that he was ruinining the guild's reputation
