Good morning world!  i'm back to gaming but in a different form first priest is now the alt, got boosted to 100, and main is druid. I'm only doing garrison quests because I now play 4 games instead of 1.  I'll be back to main of wowing when the expansion comes out. Current game time is divided into WOW, Hearthstone, Guildwars 2, Rainbow Six: Seige.  and job hunting ah due to some circumstances I am unemployed.

Good bye & Thank you

Thank you everyone for following my little priest's adventures and life :)

Sleepy priest will sleep until cataclysm and a sleeping beauty she is.   I have been blogging for about two years on sleepypriest and well its time to close this chapter of my life.   All things come to an end.  As they say,  "RL>WOW"   I came to realize that with my current goals, life, commitments that I will never again be a raider. It isn't lack of time but that I no longer enjoy raiding and WOW is something I do in short bursts, once in a while and when there is nothing else more pressing.   Technically speaking if I wanted to I can clear out 10 hours of my week to raid but in a raid I'm bored, and am watching the clock.   It was fun while it lasted. I made lots of friends and these I cherish and keep in contact with.

These days I am occupied with training as a RL healer (student nurse) :)  I gave up my wings as priest lead to handle RL a year ago with the intention of coming back as soon as my crazy work hours slowed down but once that happened I discovered that I had so much more free time and occupied myself as a healer in training along with making real life gold as one does need to eat.

Now now I have not done gone and quit wow I'm just an very occasional super casual WOWer .. however I will definitely post if i attain oh say a reins of the baron river dare something like that.  you know the stratlolme mount.  Yep that one.

How to farm AH for gold?

AH farming is by far the best and easiest as the trick is to buy low and sell high.   super rare items I list at ridiculously high prices and eventually it will sell.   Why because I can.   Nope its not about being fair my true main is toon is nicknamed "Business Elf" so it does what is most profitable.   It has always been this way where my level 1 toon funds the rest of my alts and my motto of no farming is still true.  I pride myself on never having to need to farm for anything.  Herbs, potions, etc I buy what I need. Ok i farm instances but thats for the BOP specialties that I cannot get anywhere else.   Even mounts are buyable if its a raid item.  With enough gold I can pay a raiding guild to run me through an instance to get the mount.  Hmm lets see I think I remember paying 23k gold for a certain armani warbear.

Haha anyways that stuff is history it have it but so what

Buy and sell items that are in demand .. see what other crafters use,  recipes, rare epic items are also good to do.  I personally specialize in recipes and only recipes.   Everything else I leave to other people.  You see the AH is too big to corner completely so I find a nitch.   Me I can take one look at a recipe and know its true vaule.

Ex:  this weekend i made 6k  all from 1 hour of so of AH work by a level 1 toon.   This is casual play I'm not activly grinding to make a billion gold i list and relist a few items, log on to various servers to do the same and call it done for my weekly wow session.

AH farming is not for everyone as not all people enjoy looking at listings they rather be out in azeroth killing something or instancing or raiding or questing.  The end result is about the same as everythign would get you about 300g per hour if not more.   AH is easy only if you have the interest,  invested the initial time it took to learn how to work the AH otherwise if gold was your one and only goal do what you like.  Me I have fun with AH and don't care about the gold so much.  Not that I would sell something at a loss as that would not be in character with my RP  of a shrewd businesss elf

memorial weekend = very profitable

Woot I made a tidy pile of gold coins this weekend all for no more than 2-3 hours of WOW time on my level 1 toon.  11k gold for items sold.   People must be feeling rather generous with their cash either that or they are buying gold.  Dang I should have listed stuff at a higher price if the market is flooded with gold.  So i'm now at 88k gold with exactly 10k on hordeside.

Ah well its ok my stuff is already over priced as is so any higher would be just me being greedy.

What do you do with your gold?

What do I do these days?  I log in to wow 1-2x a week and its to check AH, relist unsold items and log on gchat to see who else I know who still plays.     Gold I never did have much use for gold other than give it away to family members and RL friends and on a rare occasion a WOW friend who desparately needed a mount.    I collect gold coins like people collect epics i just like looking at it and seeing the item sucessful in my inbox.

In my very limited WOW time it is spent mostly on my "main" a druid on a certain server farming up a stratolme mount or not on wow at all.  AH farming is my past time I buy and sell.   CurrentlyI have 80K  i'm sure at some point it will reach the character max but then I have alot of alts so there's lots more room.

7/3/10 correction 97k gold.
