I wanted to do some wow as a post exam relaxing .. ya know? well as luck with have it wow's login server are down and have been down since this morning.
I sucessfully installed wow on this mini netbook lenovo S10 and it actually runs so long as I turn all the settings down. Anyways enough ranting I guess i should do something productive so i can wow guilt free this weekend.
Oh while googling up wow forums to see whats up with 5/1 and login servers beign down i find out that may 1 is europe's labor day in france and a few other countries so thats why .. my wow is down. Hmmm ya think its connected?

Dual Boxxed - heroic setteck halls
Software: hotkeynet
Classes: Deathknight and Resto druid
Time: 1.5 hours however its 15 mins if you know how to play both classes and the instance
so i semi sucessfully dual boxed heroic setteck halls with a dk and my resto druid.
it took a few tries before i asked my family member who owns the dk on what spells come first and how to use the damm dk as i was willing to level 8 levels on the alt druid to get it to 80 so i could 2 box farm.
use unholy spec with frost aura,
run in to pack of mobs, drop death and decay, frostbite? pestilence, and that other instant cast disease spell then scorge or somethign strike the lead mob and repeat.
My two boxing set up was on one machine with the healer on a smaller window and i just alt tabbed however that is rather annoying so tonight i will update my 2 boxing software and write some custom macros so i'm only using 1 wow screen and no need to alt tab unless i'm rezzing.
The boss fight was fairly simple it was the trash mobs that wiped me a few times until i figured out how to tank as a dk.

alts and special events
gah i have too many alts! 3 mains across 3 servers and each server has its own setof alts. So what Ive had to do is designate a "main" for special event / achievements.
Of all my toons I like NE druids the most perhaps its because it was my first character and the only character in wow who can shapeshift. okies back to egg /quest farming

Event: Noblegarden (easter egg hunting)

1. Brightly Colored Eggs are hidden in the starting town of each races: Bloodhoof Village, Brill, Falcowing Square, and Razor Hill for the Horde. Azure Watch, Goldshire, Dolanaar, and Kharanos for the Alliance. The eggs are only in this town and will respawn in a few seconds/minutes, it probably won't be enough during the first days of the event because a LOT of players will be camping them. They're hidden in different spots of the town and might be a little hard to find at first, but it becomes very easy when you know what you're looking for.
2. Looting the eggs will give you a Noblegarden Chocolate or one of the rare item from the event, you can also buy all of them with the chocolates if you're lucky enough with your eggs. Please note that Dressed for the Occasion and Sunday's Finest will not work if you buy the items from the NPC, you have to find the items in an egg to complete the achievement. (These 2 achievements are NOT part of the Noble Gardener meta-achievement.
3. When you've got enough chocolate to buy all the items you need for the achievements, the only thing left to do is to complete the achievements that require you to travel in other zones/continents : Desert Rose, Spring Fling / Spring Fling and Noble Garden / Noble Garden.
The Noblegarden Vendors will let you buy the items you want if you can't find them in eggs.

Tactic: go to a far out lowbie starting zone and then find a egg spawn point prefereablly one that has 2 eggs repop and camp that corner for a few hours. I rather camp than run around looking fror eggs. So far I've narrowed down my clicks to exactly 3 spots where 2 eggs will spawn. Otherwise raid healers or ex raid healers have a slight advantage over the non healer because of practice raid healers play whack a mole style so clicking on 3 spawn points is easy stuff.
I even drove off 3 competitors by having a fast click n target than them. So there

WOW on a netbook: Lenovo S10
so it is possible to run wow on a netbook: lenovo S10 $349
This little computer of a netbook was never intended to run WOW but I was desparate so decided to gamble and install WOW and see if it runs. My only rule is that I will not log on at all outside of home because that is not why I got this netbook.
the requirement is to turn down all settings and run the minimum amount of addons. last week family was visiting and erm they commandeered my main compy aka wow machine. No duh like who wouldn't want to wow on a alienware compy anyways I got desperate by sunday because it is the weekend and I wanted to do some wow then but .. with only one computer only one of us could log in at any given time.
I wasn't sure if my little computer could handle such a powerful game .. and it barely could as it crashed due to heat issues towards the end of karazhan. Hmmm now i can dualbox w/o lagging up my main machine or running blind as I would have to minimize the screen so much that I can't see enough to do any of the loot item quests.

End Game: Whats left now?
mount farming!! ok i've hit 80 and have some nice raid gear so i will be farming up the lower level instance as a dual boxer. (deathknight tank/dps + resto druid healing) this combo actually works out nicely as my DK box 1 is able to aeo tank any loose mobs and requires so little healing that my druid can auto follow and ocassionally click over the next window for a heal.
Instances to grind: There's like a billion instances to grind that I have to pick and choose which ones to do on any gi ven day as I could theorethically spend my life grinding these mounts
Karazhan boss #1: for midnight's mount (20 mins)
Tempest Keep: Ashes of Alar for phoenix mount
ZG tiger boss and raptor boss: Mounts!!!
Onyxia: need a ony

Magister's Terrace: swift white hawkstrider (3
Stratholme: baron rivendares mount soloable so will be doing that

The blood sail rep title and pirate outfit is fairly easy to get as a level 80 I completed my grind from at war to revered in about 4 hours. The secret is to get a raid of 10-15 level 80s composed of 1-2 tanks 1 healer and lots of dps, mage, lock, hunter rogue you name it. Then just clear everything targetable in booty bay especially the bootybay bruisers and repeat for 4 hours.
Soloing is going to be hard because the bootybay guards run and call for backup. Though had I known about the thing about saving the quest rep turn in until 99999 whatever revered I'd have done that but didn't know it then so i'm stuck at revered forever.
